For the offroad lovers there's quad biking, 4 x 4 trails, hiking, microlight and gyrocopter trips.Take an early morning stroll along the pearly white and unspoiled beach and on your return enjoy a sumptious breakfast on the wooden deck overlooking the Atlantic. During August/September and sometimes into October, Strandfontein and the surrounding areas come alive with a burst of spring colour when the renowned Namaqualand flowers begin to bloom. A truly spectacular sight.

There's an excellent hiking trail between Strandfontein and Doringbaai which is very popular during the "Flower Season" and unique in that you may enjoy the spectacular beauty of of Mother Nature's spring garden and the frolicking dolphins and whales simultaneously!
