The 18ha family wine farm with its lime rich soil produces excellent red wines. Cultivars planted are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, Shiraz and Ruby Cabernet.

Approximately 3 to 4 tons per cultivar is produced by the cellar from hand harvested grapes. The fermentation process of the Melkboomsdrift wines is overseen by Hilsa, the owner, in a small cellar adjacent to her farm house.
