Klawer

Klawer

Klawer, less than three hours' drive north of Cape Town on the N7, is situated on the banks of the Olifants River.

The name Klawer (Afrikaans for clover) was derived as a result of the abundant growth of wild clover in the area.

During spring, Klawer and surrounds are covered by a carpet of wild flowers for which the area is so well known.

Klawer is a central point on your northbound route to access the towns of Vredendal, Strandfontein, Lambert's Bay, Clanwilliam and Vanrhynsdorp.
